Dr. Brian Nahed teaches Harvard Medical students, interns, and residents in neurosurgery. As the Associate Program Director at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Nahed has developed novel techniques to train and assess neurosurgical residents while working to build programmatic and systems improvements to improve the delivery of care. Nationally, Dr. Nahed serves as the chairman of the curriculum and education committee of the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies where he develops educational courses, seminars, and topics for both national organizations in neurosurgery (Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons). Dr. Nahed has published and given presentations on healthcare delivery, medical malpractice, quality metrics, and systems improvements in neurosurgery.
A dedicated member of the neurosurgical community, Dr. Brian Nahed is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and serves on national committees for the Tumor Section. He also serves as a neurotrauma consultant for the National Football League (NFL).
